Prof Peter Verhaert
Currently Associate Professor Mass Spectrometry Histochemistry (MSHC) at the Faculty of Medicine (Dept. of Imaging & Pathology) of Leuven University (Belgium) from where he obtained an MSc in Zoology [1983] and a PhD in Comparative Neurobiology [1987]. Visiting professor at the School of Physiology of the University of Witwatersrand at Johannesburg (South Africa) [since Oct 2024].
With Peptides in Biology as a common theme in his >40 years of research, he is recognized worldwide as one of the pioneers in Peptidomics. Founder & CSO/CEO of ProteoFormiX (www.proteoformix.com) at JLABS@BE [J&J Innovation Center Belgium; 2017.
